SESSION INFORMATION
How the photoshoot experience works

Each perspective is to be celebrated, whether it feels safe and easy, or pushes you to outside your comfort zone. That is where the magic happens. That is where you give yourself the grace you deserve to heal, to feel loved, and to be seen.”
Before booking a portrait photoshoot I always do a phone consultation to learn more about you, what kind of photos might be wanting, and to discuss other aspects like wardrobe and cost.
I will guide you in what outfits to bring and hair and makeup.
Hair and makeup is always available but not required, and at an additional cost.
On the day of the shoot you’ll arrive with your selected clothes and we’ll take a moment to just get to know each other a little more. We’ll hang up the clothes on a rack and take a look through them. The shoot itself lasts about 2 hours.
During the shoot, It will be more relaxed than any other photoshoot experience you might have had. I want to capture you so I'll do everything I can to make sure you feel safe and able to be yourself. I will guide you through the entire process, there’s really nothing you have to “do” except trust me. I guarantee we will get stunning images that you will love.
After the shoot I will go through and select the best images and a couple days later, we will meet again to view the images or we can do a Skype call screen share and view your images together that way. This is when you will decide how many final images you want.
The selected images will then be retouched (and printed if you purchased prints) and be ready for you within 2 weeks.
What to expect from your fine art portrait session

We'll meet to go through number of images to gather ideas on how you envision yourself being photographed. Additionally we'll go over wardrobe and how to prepare for your session
Hair & Makeup
(Optional)
Your day will begin with professional hair and make up. Hair and make up will take place as you enjoy a cocktail and snacks, and lasts up to 2 hours.
photoshoot
We'll spend few hours photographing a number of different looks. I will be directing you through a number of poses and talking you through each step of the process
retouching
Retouching usually take
up to 2 weeks. Every image presented will be fully retouched to make you look your best.
Portrait reveal session
Few days after your photo session. We'll be meeting again for reveal and ordering session.
Location of the shoot

Armed with a keen eye for detail and a genuine passion for photography, we offer a fun, relaxing experience at the location of your choice, including your own home. We encourage you to select a location that holds a special meaning to you and allows you to feel the most comfortable!
We can also suggest locations based on what kind of style you're looking for. For outdoor locations, whenever possible we schedule your session 1.5 to 2 hours prior to sunset, better known as the "golden hour". This ensures the best and most beautiful lighting for your photographs.
We pride ourselves in being a fine art photographer, and while we do shoot posed images, we want to capture you or your family "as you are". So feel free to do the things you normally would do comfortably or with your family- playing, giggling, jumping, just being you! We find that taking both posed and natural photographs provides you with a wonderful variety of images!
Booking Policies
Consultation & Scheduling
All sessions should be booked 4-6 weeks prior to shooting, especially if you are requesting a weekend appointment. If you have a last minute request for a photo shoot or event, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your session, though we make no guarantee we can satisfy your request.
To book your free consultation, just complete the "Contact Us" form on our website. All pre-session consultations can be done over the phone or in person; whatever works best for you! During your pre-consultation we'll discuss location, the number of people to be photographed, and the overall style you are looking to achieve. We'll walk you through every step along the way and make sure by the time your photo shoot arrives, you'll be so
comfortable with the process you'll (almost) forget we're there!
Once the terms are agreed upon, you will be asked to sign a contract, make your 50% non-refundable reservation payment via Pay Pal, and then your photo shoot is booked!
Portrait Viewing Appointment
The average turnaround time for editing all of your images is 2-3 weeks after your session, and 6-8 weeks after the date of your elopement or wedding. We'll meet with you for an in-home ordering appointment where you'll see all of your retouched images and purchase your art products and digital files at that time. All orders will be shipped free of cost via Royal Mail tracking services.
Signature Art Products
Ola Portraits specialises in creating custom art products for our clients- the perfect way to commemorate your portrait session, elopement, or wedding. We'll educate you on your options and available products, and assist you with the decision-making process.
We strongly believe your photographs deserve to live outside of just digital files, and we'll work with you to curate beautiful, personalised products from start to finish. It's one thing to have portraits taken; it's an entirely different thing to have a plan for showing them off! We'll create timeless family heirlooms and museum-quality keepsakes to be enjoyed by your family for generations to come!
During your in-home ordering appointment, you'll have the opportunity to select which signature art products you want to create. We offer wall portraits and gallery wraps in a variety of sizes, handcrafted solid wood frames you can customise in the stain or paint colour of your choosing, fine art albums, and even specialty items like wooden photo boxes to store your prints in. And of course, you can also purchase all the digitally edited images from your photography session!

Production of all photography print, canvas, and greeting card orders begins immediately upon receipt of the order and are customized to your exact specifications. For this reason, orders cannot be cancelled, changed, returned, or refunded. ALL PRINT, CANVAS, AND GREETING CARD SALES ARE FINAL.
